Customer Charter – Our Commitment to You

 

At Peter David Homes, we understand that purchasing a new home is possibly the most important financial decision you will make in life. We want to provide you with a superior new home that you will enjoy for many years to come and ensure at the outset that your customer journey is as straightforward and as exciting as it should be.

We have therefore outlined our commitment to you in a Charter below;

  • Prior to reserving your new home, we will provide you with the specification and layout of your chosen property and details of any pre-contractual information you will need to enable you to make an informed decision.
  • Upon reservation, we will complete a reservation checklist of the important information pertaining to your home and discuss the specification and customer choices available to you (depending on stage of build).
  • We will guide you through every stage of the buying process and if you have a related sale, we will check that is proceeding well. We will keep you informed at all times and respond promptly to any queries you may raise.
  • We will provide you with regular updates as to the construction progress of your home and the date for its completion.
  • Prior to taking occupation of your new home, we will invite you to a home demonstration visit where we can show you how everything works and answer any questions you may have.
  • On the day of legal completion, we will personally welcome you to your new home, take the meter readings and handover your keys.
  • Your new home has a two year warranty and you are also protected by the 10 year Buildmark cover from the NHBC (or similar industry insurer). Full details of the cover will be provided to you on completion.
